Overseas Client Visits Steel Mill To Inspect P275N Steel Plate Production And Testing

Recently, our company accompanied an overseas customer to visit our cooperative steel mill to inspect the production process and quality testing of P275N steel plates for their confirmed order.

The visit focused on verifying whether the steel plates meet the requirements of EN 10028-3 and the technical conditions specified in the contract.

Basic Information of the P275N Steel Plate Order

The inspected material was P275N normalized pressure vessel steel plate, which is widely used in pressure vessels, boilers, storage tanks, and energy equipment.

For this order, the plates were produced under strict process control, including steelmaking, hot rolling, and normalizing heat treatment, to ensure stable mechanical properties and uniform internal structure.

On-Site Production Review

During the visit, the customer reviewed the key production stages of the P275N steel plates, including:

Raw material and steelmaking control

Hot rolling process and thickness accuracy

Normalizing heat treatment

Plate cutting, marking, and surface inspection

Our technical engineers explained how each process step contributes to achieving the required strength, toughness, and weldability of P275N steel.

Chemical Composition Inspection

Customer Confirmation and Quality Assurance

After reviewing the production process and inspection data, the customer confirmed that the P275N steel plates fully comply with EN 10028-3 and project requirements.
